Ecoplexus’ 20MW American Legion Solar Center

San Francisco, June 04, 2017 – Ecoplexus Inc., a leading global developer of renewable energy projects, announced today that it has begun construction on its next set of ground-mounted installations in the United States including the Ecoplexus American Legion solar center in North Carolina. The 20 MWs of Solar Centers represent a combined investment of more than $35 million dollars. These facilities will be interconnected into Dominion North Carolina Power’s electrical grid, increasing the capacity of clean energy the utility has to distribute around the state.

These projects will be added to Ecoplexus’ growing IPP asset base. These projects will provide 40 gigawatt-hours of clean electricity annually. That is enough to power 4,000 homes and prevent the carbon dioxide emission of roughly 4 million gallons of gasoline, in effect taking 6,000 passenger vehicles off the road.

Ecoplexus Minnesota Expansion, New 45MW Portfolio

San Francisco, May 9, 2017 – Ecoplexus Inc., a leading global developer of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects, announced today that it has begun construction on its first portfolio of projects in the state of Minnesota, United States. The 45MW portfolio marks the first projects developed and built by Ecoplexus in the State. Ecoplexus will own these projects as part of its growing IPP asset base. This will be an essential addition to the state’s power supply and Minnesota’s commitment to Clean Energy. Minnesota’s Renewable Energy Standard is one of the nation’s strongest renewable energy standards, requiring utilities to provide 25 percent of their electrical generation from renewable sources like wind, hydrogen and solar power by the year 2025 and will help create next-generation industries with high-quality, good-paying jobs in Minnesota. The projects are part of Xcel Energy’s Community Solar Program.

These projects will provide 70 gigawatt-hours of clean electricity annually. That is enough to power 7,200 homes and prevent the carbon dioxide emission of roughly 6 million gallons of gasoline, in effect taking 10,500 passenger vehicles off the road.
